Tengo un post en
Draft desde la semana pasada, es del pedo con los libros, el pedo que ha sido acomodarlos todos, el pedo que ha sido poner un entrepaño más y que en unos meses ya esté todo lleno, el pedo que implicar seguir leyendo libros físicamente, sí, gran pedo por el espacio pero me gusta y no estoy dispuesta a hacer el cambio a digital aún. Me gusta leer y me gusta lo que implican lo libros físicos, pensé en este mientras escribía este párrafo:
Bueno, iba a hablar de eso pero ahora no porque ahora tengo un pedo más con los libros. Todo este año he leído cosas, en su mayoría, mediocres, basta ver mi lista del 2013 de goodreads, casi nada me ha gustado, a bien pocos les he dado más de tres estrellas.Cuando acabé There Is No Dog decidí dejar de leer cosas de YA porque pensé que ese era el problema, ya estaba harta de los libros de teens, todos los últimos leídos se me han hecho chafas y malhechitos. Pensé que leyendo cosas de adultos iba a agarrarle el gusto otra vez, pero leí The Middlesteins, Charlotte Street, The Rehearsal y ahorita estoy leyendo Instructions for Living Someone Else's Life y nel, todos se me han hecho feos.
Lo peor fue con Instructions for Living Someone Else's Life porque lo guardé varias semanas porque es de Mil Millington, los tres que he leído de él me gustaron un chingo, Things My Girlfriend and I Have Argued About me hizo doblar de la risa, fue el primer libro que me sacó carcajadas. La cosa es que lo guardé porque esperaba que me gustara un chingo y no.
Fue de la verga porque llevo más de cien páginas y no me he atacado de risa, sólo me salió un "ja" una vez y todo lo demás se me ha hecho meh, y ni siquiera meh, se me ha hecho malo, me ha dado hueva leerlo y re-abrirlo. Me quedan poco más de cien páginas y está de la verga que algo que piensas que te va a gustar no te guste.
Pero eso me ha pasado con varios, leí The Virgin Suicides y Middlesex y cuando salió The Marriage Plot lo pedí ese mismo día porque, no mamen, el último de Eugenides y los otros dos estaban en mi lista de favoritos y no, fue horrible, no me gustó nada. Pasó lo mismo con Green, An Abundance of Katherines se me hizo decentón, pero Looking for Alaska y TFiOS me gustaron un chingo, al final leí Paper Towns y no, fue feo, no horrible pero sí feo. Pasa lo mismo ahora con Millington, y no se si sí es malo o si sólo estoy en un humor lector de la verga, no se si no me río porque todo lo que he leído ya me destruyo y me hizo perder todo sentido decente de lectura. No se si el libro sí es chafa o si soy yo.
Bah. Ahora no se qué leer porque ya estoy hasta la madre de leer cosas que no me gustan. Pensé en leer Catherine de April Lindner, es un remake de Wuthering Heights que me gustó un chingo y es por April Lindner, Lindner que escribió "Fontanel" y "The Rubin Vase" y montones de poemas de los que soy fan absoluta. Pero es un remake y es un libro para teens y no puedo dejar de pensar que si lo leo le va a dar en la madre a mi idea de Wuthering Heights y a mi idea de Lindner.
Pensé en agarrar My Mistress's Sparrow Is Dead, lo edita Eugenides, pero es una antología y no me gustan las antologías, no me gusta que las historias sean breves y tener pocas páginas para empatizar con los personajes, no me gusta que todo pase en chinga, no me gusta que puede ser un volado y sean 90 short stories de la verga y una decente, y no me gusta porque lo voy a leer a la misma velocidad que una novela y cuando acabe me voy a acordar de bien pocas historias y las voy a revolver todas.
Pensé en The Miracle Life of Edgar Mint pero lo he tenido varias semanas apartado y la sinopsis no me jala lo suficiente. Pensé en The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight pero es de teens y hasta la sinopsis se lee pendejísima. Pensé en Please God, Find Me a Husband! de Lia pero creo que me va a decepcionar porque Fluffy me gustó un chingo y por eso espero algo padre, pero luego de leer multi-sinopsis estoy casi segura de que no va a pasar.
Y así, tengo varias opciones, y si hoy acomodo mis libros y los saco todos de bolsas y cajas voy a encontrar más pero ninguna me convence y siento que nada me va a gustar. Me da como miedo seguir leyendo y seguir topando puras cosas feas porque en algún punto sí voy a hartarme y voy a dejar de leer como seis meses. Ajá, no se qué agarrar.
